(Maybe that’s why I was playing outside the box?) Good features; it looks awesome! The bound headstock and raised logo are super-cool! There’s plenty of switches and knobs, that actually work and give some nice tones. The top and back are a flame veneer and it has the good old German carve around the body and it plays real good! Oh yeah, it’s cheap. Sounds like? These were inspired the Concorde jet that was doing regular flights out of the UK before a mishap in Paris took them out of the air for good. (I was lucky enough to see one in the sky over London many years ago; it was amazing!) And, I get it that one would want to emulate that big bird in guitar form, why not? And right now, for some reason, I have a craving for a pine-lime-splice icy-pole, not sure why! Notable players of the Burns Flyte were Marc Bolin of T-Rex and members of Slade. This one is in excellent condition with hardly a mark on it! The Mach One Humbuster pickups sound pretty good with “out of phase” in the middle position. It sits nicely and is very comfortable to play and the two volume controls offer a cool blend between the two pickups which could corner most good bass sounds too. I couldn’t resist cranking up the tremolo on my amp and banging out some Glen Campbell classics; “Galveston oh, Galveston, I still hear your sea…” Beep beep; Ah, did I just hear someone beeping a car horn telling me to keep it down? I love the blocks & binding necks of this period; it’s a very good player as well. The pickguard is from c.1962-3 and has a few holes in it, especially a big rectangle one in the middle that has been filled with a Godin humbucker, gotta say here, it actually sounds great and works well in this “pawnshop-prize” style jaguar. What you’re buying here is a great old vintage neck with some add-ons! It’s a cool players guitar and it comes with SBK hard shell case.

This amazing old 1963 Fender Jazzmaster has had two past refinishes rubbed off it to bring back the original sunburst finish hiding underneath. I don’t know about you but I love the look of a beat up vintage guitar and this one has some extra-cool mojo going on! It features two original, and awesome-sounding, black bottom pickups, a fantastic-playing rosewood neck and tone to die for! At some stage it’s had some bigger frets put in and the fingerboard radius is a tad flatter, (it’s been a player’s guitar!) but it plays and feels great. A killer vintage Jazzmaster with original white tolex case; can’t go wrong!
