Aria Diamond 1532T - 1970
Some of these old Japanese guitars get classed as quirky collectables, and they are, but this does an injustice to the fact that they often play and sound awesome! This is simply a great guitar! Surfy, Jaguar-like tones that shimmer and have some lovey depth and character that only comes with time, and, genuinely modern playability make this baby a steal! Scale is a tad shorter than a Fender Mustang but everything feels good about this guitar. I really like the elongated Jaguar-style shape of the body, and no, those knobs aren’t original but do make it sound more 70’s hi-fi! Bridge has been upgraded for playability and tremolo arm is missing in action. No case.
