Fender Flame Esprit Standard - 1984
This guitar was part of the Fender Master Series and was built at the Fujigen Gakki factory in Japan. It features a chambered body, 2 Schaller pickups (they sounds awesome too!), chrome hardware and single-ply binding on an Autumn Burst finish. It’s a nice guitar to play with a C-ish but slightly V-ish neck shape. Weight is a reasonable 8.11 lbs and frets have around 95% meat left with a some light grooves on the first 4 frets. (we’ll give those a crown before it leaves here.) Dan Smith was working at Fender at the time and he designed this one. These later became the Robbin Ford signature model. It’s a real nice guitar to play and comes with its original hard shell case (The latches have been repaired but aren’t the best). Some of the rubber grips on the knobs are falling apart too.
