Fender Classic Player Jaguar Special HH – 2008
I like the way Fender are not afraid to take one of their best guitar designs over the decades and completely mess with it to make a guitar that is awesomely useful! This is one of those guitars! Lots of modern player-grade factory mods on this one like, humbucking pickups which can be turned into single coil units using the top switches, (that’s a good idea!), a 9.5" fingerboard radius to eliminate choking when bending in the higher register, and a neck pocket with increased back-angle for improved stability and sustain. But that’s not all; a kill switch (so you can do that SOS thing that Eddie Van Halen used to do) or just turn it off or put it on stand-by, an adjusto-matic bridge and screw-in trem arm, and a closer-to-the-bridge tailpiece for better break angle. There’s probably more but that was enough for me to go, “this thing is pretty cool!”. Somewhere along the line someone has removed some stickers and left a few scratches on the back, the front and the pickguard, other than that, it’s in pretty good shape. This is a great-playing and sounding guitar for reasonable money. Set-up and ready to gig. Comes with a gig bag.
