Fender Telecaster Candy Apple Red MIJ - 1985
By Fender
Great looking candy apple red Fender Telecaster, made in Japan circa 1985. I’ve always liked the double-bound Custom Telecaster body; it adds a bit of class to the usual working-man’s bog-standard Telecaster look. Don’t worry, I still love the look of the regular Tele; the regular Tele was like a Holden Kingswood and the bound-body version was more like Holden Statesman. I guess for today’s cars that would be a Tesla Model 3 and a Tesla Model S? Maybe? This lovely body is bolted onto a maple neck with a Rosewood fingerboard and a nice low action. Pickups sound nice in this guitar and it’s a joy to play. I should mention the condition, it has a few nicks and bumps from being played in at late-night gigs in smokey bars all over the world; well, I am using my imagination here because I don’t really know; it was probably just played in the bedroom and Mum kept knocking it over when she did the vacuuming. Either way, it’s a beauty! Comes with a non-original rectangle hard case.
