Gibson ES-325 - 1972
A super-clean example of an early 70’s Gibson ES-325 in a transparent cherry factory finish. These are the little brother to the illustrious ES-335 and they feature mini-humbuckers (think Gibson Firebird) instead of the normal size humbuckers that Gibson guitars are known for. They also have a top-loading control panel which makes them easier to work on. This one feels great to play with a the 1 9/16" nut width. Frets are in great shape and overall condition is very good. The pots and caps have been changed at some stage; there are two later Gibson pots and two with no markings. The pickups sound killer-bee; they have a bit of grunt and are bright and punchy as well. This model Gibson is favored by Caleb Followill from the Kings of Leon. I’ve noticed he has a walnut one and a red one just like this one. Comes with Australian Stamford OHSC.
