Gibson Melody Maker ¾ Size - 1959
This little ¾ size Gibson Melody Maker looks like it’s been “super-cleaned” by Chrisfix on YouTube! (Sorry; been watching too many car videos on YouTube again! Check him out!). Seriously, it hasn’t really been “super-cleaned” (although we will give it our Covid clean before it leaves) but, this is one clean little guitar. It’s a bet that this guitar hasn’t seen a lot of work throughout its 61 years on this planet. Condition is really good with a few small dings here and there, no breaks or mods. Single pickup sounds bright and full and brings out the tone of this wonderful vintage mahogany beast. Speaking of which, this is the same mahogany wood that the “Bursts” would have been made from back in the day! The neck has that great ’59 profile; chunky, round but not too fat; just right! And, just a bit smaller! Pots and jack have been changed and the knobs are Gibson, but from a later date. All in all, a great little ¾ size vintage Gibson that comes with its original crocodile case.
