Harmony Meteor Modified - 1959
A circa 1959 Meteor that’s had an upgrade or two! This is a player’s delight; a great-playing old beast that now has a pair of gold 1990’s Gibson Firebird mini humbuckers installed along with a ‘60’s Gibson ES335 tailpiece to aid simplicity. Surprisingly, these pickups work a treat in this guitar; the bridge is mean and loud but still has some subtleties when you play soft and growls when you play hard. The neck pickup is sweet and the middle position combine’s the two beautifully. The headstock has had its top re-shaped; no idea why and it doesn’t affect how the guitar plays. New tuners have been added too. All in all, it’s a great guitar to play with plenty of tone coming out of the guitar unplugged that translates well when plugged in. Comes with a hard shell case.
