Ibanez Musician MC-500-NT - 1979
This stunning piece of wood was thankfully saved from some high-end desk and used to make a luxurious but somehow pragmatic feeling instrument. The rounded surfaces and solid construction combined with multiple switching options for the two humbuckers contribute pertinently to that description. Incredibly, aside from the dual 3-way coil-tap options, there are three EQ knobs that allow you to truly fine tune this guitar to sound like almost anything, but it does it without trying to be anything in particular! I’m impressed! It has an ebony fretboard and the nice full neck. There is a particular customer for this kind of guitar - if it’s you, you will know when you pick it up! Comes with its original hard shell case. PS: “Built by the finest craftsmen of Ibanez Japan” is engraved on the brass backing plate. Cool!
