Have you ever noticed some guitars play and sound exactly how they look? This guitar has a stunning, punchy and bright tone with some of that aged mojo really coming out when you hit it a bit harder. The pickups not only look cool but sound great as well; they’re called “Magnametle” pickups and I’m thinking the square pole-pieces are putting out a little more magnetic punch than the average Maton pickup of the day. It’s more of that 60’s Gretsch sound than 50’s Lo-Fi, although it softens up when pushed, like a good vintage hollow-body should! The flame-maple finish has a beautiful patina but still in great shape. The binding has kept well and the neck has a comfortable flat C shape to it. I could keep flooding your brain with praise for this guitar for another thousand words but I'll stop here so you can enjoy the pics! Oh yeah, it plays extremely well! This is a great example of a vintage Australian icon! Comes with non-original hard case.
