Squier Telecaster (MIK) - 1996
I’m glad I didn’t have to do a blindfold identification for this Tele because I wouldn’t have guessed it was a Squier! Even though they represent great value for money and perform respectably you can usually feel something nicer in the Mexican and Japanese ones, but this guitar is exceptional. It’s commonly accepted that the Korean Squier’s were definitely well-made guitars and this will attest to that. A subtle and deep crimson body that has a bit of weight to it definitely provides good sustain and some nice pop from the pickups, which are a very sweet and a bubbly Fender neck pick up and Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge giving a slightly more hot-rodded tone. This guitar has been well loved with typical wear on the back but no clear signs of abuse, which is good unless you’re into that kind of thing! Weight is 8.88 lbs. Comes with a HSC.
