I had a look online and found these beasts to be out of stock all over the world and I’m not surprised. It’s a wonderful instrument with plenty of great innovative ideas that takes it to the next level as far as lap steels go. It has a capo-style nut so it can be relocated along the fingerboard, which is very clever idea. But the game-changer is the palm benders on the bridge; these are fantastic. I’ve been playing this for the last hour and watching You Tube lessons by Troy Brenningmeyer and my playing has actually improved by 200%. (Yes, I am pretty sh*t at this, that’s why I’ve improved so much! 😊) The Goldburst finish is spectacular and looks awesome when viewed in different light; this really is an amazing instrument. If you want to emulate some pedal steel sounds for a recording or live, and don’t want to cart around a pedal steel, (or spend half of your adult life learning it) then this will definitely fit the bill.
