Fender Telecaster Blonde - 1974
By Fender
Beautiful vintage Fender Telecaster from 1974. Stock standard and it’s seen a lot of smokey bars over its time which shows in the checking and darkening of the original finish; it looks fantastic. I doubt if we’ll see any more guitars like this in the future as the old smokey bar doesn’t exist anymore. This is the look that someone who relics guitars, would love to emulate. I particularly like the little area where you can see someone has had their pick pushed under the pickguard. Playing-wise; neck feels great, pickups sound great; neck pick up has been rewound (very sweet sound) and frets have about 80% of meat left. I love the way the headstock has gone that beautiful dark colour! Overall, this is a fantastic vintage ash-body Telecaster, a little bit heavy at 9.24lbs/4.19kg, but that’s just the way there were. Comes with its original black to tolex hardshell case.
