This is a great vintage tobacco-sunburst Melody Maker from 1961. It features a factory sunburst finish, a double cutaway mahogany body, a one-piece mahogany neck and two original punchy-sounding, single-coil pickups that gives this guitar heaps of tone! Nice big fat “C” shape neck feels great in the hand too. There’s something about old guitars where the wood has dried out and the guitar sounds warm and very resonant when played acoustically and then, when plugged in, this translates through the amp into a killer tone! This guitar has that vibe. Stop tailpiece is a later version. Repro pickguard, knobs and pots and electrics have been rewired with good decent American parts and it comes with a cardboard-style unoriginal case.
